Funeral services were held Wednesday, July 28, 2010 at Riverside Memorial Chapel in New York with his daughter, the Reverend Lindsay Borden, officiating.
Mr. Borden was born April 18, 1920 in New York City to the late Rose and Max Borden.
He attended Polytechnic Preparatory School before receiving a bachelor of arts at Yale, Phi Beta Kappa Summa Law degree from Yale University Law School, and served with distinction in the second World War in Europe.
He is survived by six children, Andrew Poe Borden of Lewis County and Santa Monica, California, Anthony John Maxwell Borden of Lewis County and London, England; Erica Borden Baird, attorney of New York City, Ross Borden of Ithica, New York, Reverend Lindsay Borden, pastor of the First Presbyterian Church of Wappingers Falls of New York; his former wife, Audrey Poe Borden of Lewis County, and a sister, Dorothy Kaufman of Arlington, Virginia.
