Entrekin
Herman Grady Entrekin, 83, died Saturday, June 26, 2010 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 28, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel with Artie Collins, minister of Springer Church of Christ, officiating. Burial took place in the Springer Cemetery with military honors.
Mr. Entrekin was born June 29, 1926 in Lawrence County to the late Grady Entrekin and Lorene Kobek Entrekin. A World War II veteran serving in the United States Navy, he was a retired mechanic and bus driver for the Lewis County School system.
Survivors include one son, Tim (Debbie) Entrekin; two daughters, Glynda (Bill) Hankins and Connie (Ritchie) Brewer, all of Hohenwald; one sister, Belle Cross of New Albany, Mississippi; five granddaughters, Jennifer Brewer of Springfield, Callie Entrekin and Cassie Enterkin, both of Hohenwald, Dana Wyatt of Columbia, and Mitzi Runions, also of Hohenwald; three grandsons, Danny Allen of Summertown, Devin Williams of Omaha, Nebraska, and Shawn Hale of Hohenwald; twelve great grandchildren and three great, great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Hazel Ann White Entrekin.
