Graveside services were held Friday, July 2, 2010 at 11 a.m. in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens with Bill Webb officiating.
A retired employee of Henry I. Seigel, she was born February 9, 1932 in Lawrence County to the late Clebert Leon McKissack and Enola May McKissack.
Survivors include four sons, David Spears of Centerville, Johnny (J.D.) Spears of Jacksonville, Florida, Kevin Randal Spears of Hohenwald, and Doug Spears of North Fork, Virginia; one daughter, Darlene Bastin of Hohenwald; two brothers, Travis McKissack of Hohenwald and Ernie McKissack of Baltimore, Maryland; three grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Leary, and brother, Arnold Alvie McKissack.
