Tommie Mitchell Staggs, age 97, died June 25, 2010 at Perry Community Hospital in Linden.
Funeral services were held at 3:00 p.m. June 27, 2010 in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel with Chip Spears officiating. Burial took place in the Downey Cemetery.
Mrs. Staggs was born June 14, 1913 to the late Wilson Walker Smith and Nannie Jestine Berry Smith. She was a retired secretary for South Central Human Resources.
Survivors include one son, Billy Mitchell of Glendale, Kentucky; two granddaughters, Paralee (Gerald) Hobbs and Neil Ann Hensley, both of Hohenwald; four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Neil Mitchell; and second husband, Marvin Staggs.
