  • Are you Happy Today?

    Sep 19, 2024

It is our thoughts and attitudes that determine whether we are happy or upset. Our society has led us to believe that it is people and conditions outside of ourselves that determine our state of mind. Will we be happy or upset? Will you have a good day or a bad day? Most of us have experienced letting another person or even the weather decide if we will be peaceful and happy, or if we will be upset. Many of us who have been on diets have even given our power away to scales to decide for us whether we are happy or depressed. We sometimes choose...

    Evelyn 'E.T.' Trevathan|Sep 19, 2024

Well it is cool morning here in our little valley. It almost feels like an early Fall morning, it was even a little too cool to sit out on the porch. I really like cool mornings like this. The cats were here early this morning to eat their breakfast, now they have snuggled down and they are taking their cat naps. I am so glad that we got some rain, when it was raining during the night I would wake up and hear the rain, it sounded so good. We sure have needed the rain, everything was really dry. I think this drought has been one of the longest...

  • Tyrades! Have you joined the "underconsumption" bandwagon?

    Danny Tyree|Sep 19, 2024

But, that seems only to work logistically. Examples of this are: “righty-tighty, lefty-loosey” and/or...

    Josette Riley|Sep 19, 2024

“Hey, Jo, Are people allowed to fly drones over private property?” In the U.S., drone laws regarding flying over private property are still evolving, but here are some important issues, you might want to keep in mind: The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) controls airspace above 400 feet, and below that, it’s considered navigable airspace, where drones can legally fly. However, drones must comply with FAA regulations, including not flying recklessly or invading privacy. While Flying over private property is generally legal, if the drone...
