Lewis County Government is proud to announce that it has been awarded a Recycling Equipment Grant from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC) in the amount of $125,000. While 90% of the grant will be funded by the state, the remaining 10% local match will come from the county. On October 26, 2024, a bridge dedication ceremony was held on Cane Creek Road for the late Jerry Sharp. Jerry Sharp was a Lewis County resident for over 70 years and proudly served his country in the Marine Corps.
