Grace Grimes Pace, age 95, died Monday, January 13, 2020, at Elmcroft Senior Living in Brentwood.

Mrs. Pace was the daughter of the late Jake and Lutie Downey Grimes. She was born August 29, 1924 in Lewis County.

She worked at various factory jobs, the Lewis County School System and Lomax Day Care.

A funeral was held Friday, January 17, at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. John Durham, her nephew, officiated. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Burial was at the Downey Cemetery.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Harvey Craft, and grandson Kevin.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Chessor, and a baby son, Gary Van.

In lieu of customary remembrances, the family requested, with gratitude, that memorial contributions be directed to Churches of Christ Disaster Relief, Inc., 410 Allied Dr., Nashville, TN 37211.
