City Council meets in regular session

 

February 13, 2020



All members of the Hohenwald City Council met in regular session Tuesday, February 4, 2020, moving from their customary location to the EOC (Emergency Operations Center) on Oak Street. The 2020 Leadership Lewis Class was in attendance and the mayor, Council and department heads entertained questions following the meeting.

Minutes from January 7, 2020 were unanimously approved with a motion by Councilman Scottie Bass, seconded by Councilman Cody Mitchell.

Reports were accepted from Chief of Police Kip Kelsey, Fire Department Chief Steve Vineyard, Codes Enforcer Brad Rasbury and EC&D Coordinator Helen Ozier. A motion to accept was made by Vice Mayor Don Barber, seconded by Councilman Mitchell.

By resolution, the mayor was authorized by the Council to call for bids to construct a storage building to solve the “immediate need of secured storage for city assets.”

Motion to approve was made by Councilman Mitchell, seconded by Councilman Kevin King, to precede a unanimous vote of approval.
