Nathaniel Landis

Nathaniel Scott Landis, age 33 of Hohenwald, passed away at his residence on Wednesday, February 26.

He was born on October 1, 1986 in Lancaster, Pennsylvania to Joseph and Beth Landis.

His family stated that he was the light of their world - he would instantly light up any room he was in. Despite his disabilities he lived an active life. He loved music, especially that of the 80's and 90's. Some of his favorite songs which were played on the day of his funeral were I'm Gonna Be (500 Miles) by The Proclaimers, Take On Me by A-Ha, One More Time by Daft Punk and Cottoneyed Joe. The family said it was instinctual for him to move and dance whenever these songs played. He touched many lives and the joy he brought to those he loved will last forever.

He is survived by his parents, Joseph Landis and Beth Landis of Hohenwald; brothers, Jeremy Landis of Hohenwald and Joseph Landis II of Arizona; sisters, Erica Landis and Savannah Whitehead of Hohenwald; nieces and nephews, Rufus Scott Beard Jr., Nathaniel Yarborough, Hunter Jase Beard, Shiloah Whitehead, Dallas Whitehead, Scarlett Lillian Coarlie Cupple, Adina Landis and soon-to-be baby niece/nephew Landis; also numerous uncles, aunts and cousins in Pennsylvania.

A celebration of life took place on Wednesday, March 4 at 1 p.m. at the McDonald Funeral Home in Hohenwald. Burial followed in Lewis County Memorial Gardens.
