Anita Jones

Anita Nell Jones peacefully passed away on April 10, 2020 in her Hohenwald home surrounded by family after a battle with cancer. She was 52 years old.

She was born in Savannah, on November 26, 1967 to Dessie Nell (Skelton) Walker and the late James Walker. On April 7, 2005, she married Larry Wayne Jones and together their love for motorcycles and car shows took them on many road-trip adventures throughout their marriage.

In her spare time, Anita enjoyed being outdoors and working on her flower garden or taking trips to the mountains for camping fun and making memories. She loved to dance, and it didn't matter who was watching, she was living in the moment and enjoying life to the fullest. One of her hobbies including cutting vinyl stickers for crafting. Even with a fun and adventurous life, it was well known that she lived to care for her husband and family. One could see the outpouring of love she had for all her grandchildren.

Mrs. Jones is survived by her sons, Robert (Heather) Hinson and Harvey (Merissa) Hinson; step-daughter, Angie (James) Morris; grandchildren, Sofia Hinson, Hagen Hinson, Brodie Hinson, Emersyn Hinson and Jayme Smith; brothers, Rodney (Lexa) Walker and Michael Walker; sister, Edna (Ralph) Skelton; an uncle, Brent (Evonne) Staggs; and nieces and nephews, Haley Walker, Marlee Walker, James Skelton, Brandi Sharp, Briar Sharp and Brennan Sharp.

Graveside service was held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 15 at Downey Cemetery.

Adair Funeral and Cremation Service assisted the family with arrangements.
