A man who faces multiple charges after a brutal attack on a ten year old child made a video appearance before the Honorable Michael Hinson in Lewis County General Sessions Court Thursday, April 23, 2020.

A public defender was appointed for Sammy Sadler, age 29, and a court date of May 14 was set. However, because the Tennessee Supreme Court extended an order to cancel in-court proceedings due to COVID-19 through May 31, 2020, the court date is expected to be reset for June, an official with the Lewis County Circuit Clerk's office said.
