MLEC workers pulled the power lines to an existing pole further off the road as crews worked to cut the tree off of Dakota Stephens' truck.

Another member of the graduating class of 2020, Dakota Stephens, of Hohenwald, was involved in a single vehicle accident. This marks the fourth member of the class in recent weeks to wreck a vehicle.

Stephens was headed west Friday, May 22, on Piney Creek Road around 9:30 a.m. when the vehicle ran off the road before hitting an MLEC power line and a tree soon after, said officers.

Maury Regional Emergency Medical and MLEC personnel were quick to respond. Stephens was not injured, according to a report.

Power was restored to neighboring houses within an hour. MLEC crews also worked to remove the tree from his Chevrolet pick-up truck.

Responding officers were Hohenwald Sheriff's Deputy Dustin Carroll and THP Trooper Dickson.

Other members of the Lewis County High School senior class to have been involved in accidents in recent weeks include Joseph Collie, Cain Brewer and Dezamay Davis.
