Dorothy “Modene” Hinson was born in Hohenwald, Tennessee on December 19, 1948 to the late Effie Louise Chessor and Walter Hinson. She passed away on May 30, 2020 at Vanderbilt University Medical Center at the age of 71.

Dorothy is preceeded in death by her brothers, Turner Hinson and Clyde Hinson, and her sister, Shirley Clemons. Dorothy is survived by her five nieces and nephews, including nephew Ricky Owens (Debbie) and niece Shelia Byran (Mike).

A graveside service for Dorothy “Modene” Hinson, was held on Monday, June 1, 2020 at 3 p.m. at Chessor Cemetery in Hickman County.
