Ronnie James, 73, of Hohenwald, passed from this life into glory on Wednesday, May 27, 2020 at the Maury Regional Medical Center.

He was born on August 15, 1946, on Slippery Creek in Lewis County, to Dewey R. James and Bettye Sisco James. On April 19, 1968, he married the love of his life, Bertha Laxton. They resided in Hohenwald.

Ronnie was one of the most active citizens that has ever lived. He was a Lewis County Commissioner for over 30 years. Once that concluded, he became a member of the Lewis County Election Commission from 2003-2017. Along with those, he was also a member of the Hous...
