Local attorney William Landis Turner, age 79, passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2020 at Maury Regional Medical Center in Columbia following a brief illness.

Mr. Turner was an organ donor and his remains will be cremated.

A service of thanksgiving for the life of Landis will be held on Saturday, June 27, 2020, at 1 p.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel, 20 West 2nd Avenue in Hohenwald.

Burial of his cremains will follow at 2 p.m. in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.

The family asks for all those in attendance to please wear a mask.
