Centerstone offers parenting course

Centerstone’s Early Childhood Services is now offering a free 8 week parenting course! The virtual parenting series is designed to give you an expanded toolkit of personal and parenting strategies to improve family relationships. Centerstone uses a variety of curriculums to make the classes relatable, interactive and informative. Centerstone strives to help you develop and improve existing personal and parenting strategies to improve your relationships not only with your children but with other family members.

These sessions are specifically designed to cover the most common topics that parents will face in their day-to-day lives. The class is divided into eight one-hour sessions that are held once weekly. This is an eight week course. In order to complete the class and receive a certificate, a participant must attend and take part in each of the sessions. However, it is understood that things come up. Anyone missing a class will be notified the next date that the specific session will be offered and once you sit in on that missing session your certificate will be awarded.

These classes are offered free of charge. Each participant is asked to meet with a Community Health Worker prior to each class to complete the registration process.

For more information, to make a referral or to schedule a registration appointment, contact Elena Brizuela at 931-205-6528 or [email protected] or Kimberly Young at 931-981-5677 or [email protected].

Deadline to register for the session beginning July 1, 2020 was June 17, 2020. Participants are welcome to register after June 17, but will need to make up the missed courses during the next class rotation.
