Local Save A Lot Grocery To Close

Twanette Nickell pulled her mask aside briefly to smile for the camera Tuesday as Assistant Manager Faith Hensley handed her a receipt for her groceries. Employees and customers of Save A Lot grocery in Hohenwald may not smile for long as store officials announced the shop would close on August 22, 2020.
"I never expected this," said Autumn Runions. "We have customers that only shop here... We have appreciated their support throughout the years."
Last Thursday, July 30, Save-A-Lot's Store Manager Autumn Runions, was told by corporate that her store would be closing its doors on August 21, 2020, due to a decline in profits.
Hohenwald's Save-A-Lot employs 10 people, and only three of them have been relocated to neighboring stores. The remaining seven are using the next three weeks to find another job.
"I'm one of the lucky ones. I got transferred to Lawrenceburg," said Runions as she teared...
