City officials respond to concerned business owners

“We need help,” said Mike Ricketts, owner of The Shop, during citizen input at the City Council Meeting last Tuesday. “Anybody that wants to can come into our town, set up, pay $15, if you’re not doing food, and sit there all year long.”

Local small business owners Chad Ashmore, Ray Cook and Ricketts attended last week’s meeting on behalf of the business owners in Hohenwald to express their concern over the fee structure of mobile and non-permanent vendors, compared to brick and mortar stores.
