LCMS Golf opens season

LCMS vs. Linden

The Lewis County Middle School golf team opened their 2020 schedule at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course on Thursday afternoon, August 13, hosting Perry County and Loretto. In middle school play, the girls' teams play four holes and the boys' teams play five holes

In girls' play, Lewis County's Abby Carroll was low medalist, shooting a 22. Linley Harris shot a 34 for the home team. Lewis County girls won the team matchups with a 56, with Linden finishing second with a 58, and Lobelville finishing with a 65.

In boys' play, Perry County's Dane Warren was low medalist with a 20, and Lewis County's Brayden Whitlow finished second with a 21. Other scores for Lewis County golfers included River Carroll with a 26, Mason Owen with a 28, Bo Banks with a 34, and Ryder Ward with a 36. Lewis County won the boys' team matchups with a 75, Linden finished second with a 58, and Lobelville finished with a 98.

LCMS Golf on the road

The Lewis County Middle School golf team travelled to Buffalo River Country Club in Lobelville on Tuesday, August 18th for their second match of the 2020 season against Lobelville and Linden.

In girl's play, Linden's Saylor Coble shot a 21 and was low medalist. Lewis County's Abby Carroll had a 24 and Linley Harris shot a 31 on the day. Linden girls won the team matchups with a 50, with Lobelville finishing second with a 54, and Lewis County finishing with a 55.

In boys’ play, Lewis County's Brayden Whitlow was low medalist with a -1 under par 18. Other scores for Lewis County golfers included Mason Owen with a 26, River Carroll with a 27, Bo Banks with a 34, and Ryder Ward with a 34. Lewis County won the boys team matchups with a 71, Linden finished second with a 80, and Lobelville finished with a 91.

In a change to the schedule, the LCHS golf team will be at home at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course on Monday, August 24 hosting Summertown.
