Lady Panthers sweep East Hickman

The Lewis County High School Lady Panther volleyball team hosted the East Hickman Lady Eagles on Monday, August 31 for varsity and junior varsity matches.
Lewis County started the first match with great energy, and used point streaks to take the opening set 25-14. The Lady Panthers continued to show dominance in the second set and pulled away to a 25-15 set win. In the third and final set, the Lady Panthers kept control of the game and won the set 25-19, a sweep of the match 3-0.
During the match, Cabry Hill had 14 hits, 3 kills, and 2 aces, Emma Hinson 10 hits, 1 kill, and 3 aces, Nylah Halbrooks 5 hits, 3 kills, and 3 aces, Keira Halbrooks 4 hits and 4 kills, Reagan Webb 1 ace, Kaitlyn Hinson 2 aces, and Brooklyn Carroll 1 hit and 2 aces.
In junior varsity play, the Lady Panther JV matched the Lady Eagles JV point for point in the first set, taking the set into extra points before dropping the opener 26-24. After the break, the Lady Eagles used the momentum from the end of the first set to pull out in front of the Lady Panthers and take the set 25-15 and win the match.
During junior varsity play, Mya Sevier had 4 hits and 3 aces, Isabel Greve 4 aces, Madasyn Durham 4 hits and an ace, Reese Duncan 4 hits and an ace, Serenity Warman 3 hits, Keira Halbrooks 1 hit and 2 kills, Aly Stutts 1 hit, and Presly Hill 1 hit.
The Lady Panthers had a quick turnaround with a match on Tuesday, September 1 at Loretto against the Lady Mustangs.
