Lady Panthers hammer Lady Hawks

The LCHS Lady Panther volleyball team travelled to Hampshire to take on the Lady Hawks on September 3rd.
The Lady Panthers wasted little time in the varsity match taking control or the pace of the match, using point-runs to pull away from the Lady Hawks in the first set to win 25-15. After a break in sets, the Lady Panthers continued to assert themselves on the floor in th second set, controlling momentume and using multiple point-runs to put away the Lady Hawks early and take set two 25-10. In the third, and final, set the Lady Panthers showed no let-up as they continued to dominate the hosts and took the thid set 25-14 for a 3-set sweep and match victory over the Lady Hawks.
In the match, Cabry Hill had 17 hits, 6 aces, and a kill for Lewis County, Emma Hinson 8 hits and 5 aces, Nylah Halbrooks 7 hits, 1 ace, and a kill, Keira Halbrooks 6 hits and 3 kills, Brooklyn Carroll 2 aces and a hit, Reagan Webb 2 aces and a hit, and Kaitlyn Hinson one ace.
The junior varsity match prior to the varsity match gave the Lady Panther JV an opportunity to display improvement against the Lady Hawk JV. In the first of two JV sets, the Lady Panthers abd Lady Hawks matched points throughout the set before the Lady Panthers pulled away at the end of the set to a 25-21. Set two of the JV match was controlled by the Lady Panthers who took set two 25-14, a two-set sweep, and a match victory.
In junior varsity play, Reese Duncan had 11 aces and 2 hits in JV play, Mya Sevier 5 hits, Serenity Warman 4 hits, Keira Halbrooks 3 hits, Madasyn Durham 2 hits, and Isabel Greve and Kerrigan Reeves each had an ace.
The Lady Panthers return to the court on Thursday, September 10th, hosting Mt. Pleasant.
