Lewis County loses two more to Covid

Coronavirus is one of three leading causes of death since February, when the nation had its first death from Covid-19. The virus has killed more than 180,000 people since then, making it a leading cause of death after heart disease and cancer.

Cases of the coronavirus continue to increase in Lewis County. As of Tuesday, October 12, Lewis County had 291 cases with 70 being active. Over the last seven days, the average percent positive cases was 16.3 percent, putting Lewis County in the red zone.

The death toll for the community rose to three over a short period of time. The community mourned...
