Rain swept through middle Tennessee this year just as the Oktober Heritage Festival began due to Hurricanes Delta and Gamma, causing events on Main Street to close on Saturday, and the car show to be rescheduled for Saturday, October 24.
But that did not stop people from joining the fun on Friday. Many came out to watch the tree climbing competition at the park and made their way over to Main Street to enjoy the festivities.
Bands played through the night and some vendors still had their stands open out on Highway 20 even on Saturday morning, trying to make a deal.
