Barbara Clayton

Barbara Ann Clayton, age 76 of Hohenwald, passed away at Maury Regional Medical Center on Monday morning, October 12, 2020 from complications with Covid-19.

She was born in Hohenwald on April 2, 1944, to the late Thomas Turnbow Jr. "Bug" and Beulah (Staggs) Turnbow.

Barbara worked as a home health Certified Nurse Assistant for many years prior to her retirement. She was a member of the Springer Church of Christ. Her family was her pride and joy. She loved all of them immensely, but especially her grandchildren who in return loved her just as much.

She is survived by sons, Tommy (Sandra) Clayton, Johnny (Kim) Clayton and Brian (Michelle) Talley; sisters, Lea (Ronnie) Graves and Glenda (Randy) Harris, five grandchildren, Mallory (Rodney) McDonald, Whitley (Ben) Floyd, Lucas (Reagan) Clayton, Alex Clayton and Beau (Brooke) Clayton; and eight great grandchildren, Phenix, Kanon, Sutton, Henry, Jack, Isaac, Branlee and Pace.


She was preceded in death by her parents, along with her husband, Jerry Clayton; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Sue Turnbow; sister, Patsy Turnbow, and great grandchild, Emmerson McDonald.

Funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 14 at 11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home chapel. Burial followed in the Springer Church of Christ Cemetery.
