Lola Wilson

Lola Laverne (Hinson) Wilson, age 67, died October 9, 2020 after a two and a half year battle with cancer.
Lola was the youngest child of the late Dorothy Holloway Hinson and George Elan Hinson. She was born December 16, 1952 in Lewis County.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Mark Bunch; grandparents, Mamie and Pappy Holloway; uncles, R.T. Hinson, David Hinson, and Leon Lawson; and aunts, Pearl LaRue and Edith Lawson.
Lola was a quiet, beautiful lady who loved her family, her home, and Grinders Creek Church of Christ. After over 30 years with Maury Regional Hospital serving Lewis County, Lola retired to her home with her husband of 27 years, Kenneth Wilson, and two beloved Yorkies, Bella and Smokie.
Lola was an accomplished interior decorator and kept her surroundings a beautiful reflection of the seasons. In her down time, Lola would often enjoy eating out with her girlfriends or babysitting for families in the community.
Mrs. Wilson is survived by her husband, Kenneth Wilson; son, Joel (Bre) Bunch; brother, Doil (Teresa) Hinson; sister, Noreen (Ronnie) O'Kelley; daughter-in-law, Christy Bunch; grandchildren, Britni, Landon, Josh and Madison Bunch, and Nathan (Briana) Hall; great grandson, Eli; twice sister-in-law, Kathy Wilson; nieces and nephews, Shawn, Tommy, Travis, Jared and Bart; dear cousins, Vicki Bates, Dianne O'Guin, and Joyce Holt. Mrs. Lola also leaves behind many friends and family who knew and loved her for her sweet snappy spirit.
A graveside service will take place Saturday, October 17, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at Grinders Creek Cemetery with Steve Holloway officiating.
