Clyde Sells

Clyde Wesley Sells, age 87 of Hohenwald, passed away on Sunday, October 18, 2020, at his home surrounded by his family.

He was born on September 23, 1933, to Guy and Hester Sells in Michigan. He graduated from high school and joined the United States Air Force, from which he later retired. He married Jean Sells and they lived a wonderful life together until her death in 2010. He then married Berline Ayers and enjoyed a wonderful marriage together with her as well. In his lifetime, he enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, and camping. He was also known to work on cars and do upholstery work as well. Above all, he was a loving father and a true family man.

Along with his second wife, Berline, he is survived by five daughters, Cindy (Jim) Kettle-Sells of Columbia, Candace (Phil) Schick of Battle Creek, Michigan, Kim Sanborn (Brandon Harmon) of Ludington, Michigan, Brenda (James) McClanahan, of Maryville, and Wanda (Tim) Peeling of Palm Coast, Florida; one son, Terry (Laura) Sells of Angola, Indiana; two cousins, Bill Sells and Stevie Sells; nine grandchildren; several great and great great grandchildren.

Along with his parents and first wife, Jean, he was preceded in death by one daughter, Nina Whitehurst.

Funeral service will be held Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 11 a.m. in the McDonald Funeral Home Chapel with Glen Floyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Lewis County Memorial Gardens.
