Despite a light rain, drizzle and a cold wind you would have thought that would have been enough to deter contestants to the re-scheduled Octoberfest car show at the Lewis County Courthouse this past Saturday.

Volunteers, covered in rain gear, took entrants' fees and registrations early Saturday morning, and by 10.30 a.m., close to 48 vehicles and drivers had registered to take part. Mostly cars and trucks, but it was good to see, even in the rain, that the Lewis County Car Show is still one of the top car shows of the South.
