Local Anglers place first

Two local anglers, Matt Carroll and Miles Staggs, took first place in the October Bass Tournament held on Chief Creek Lake at Natchez Trace Wilderness Preserve.
Other Lewis County anglers, Ricky Spears and Jeff Brackam placed thirteenth.
The day started out dry, but rainfall started around 8 a.m. and continued until close to the finish.
The next tournament is the classic for 2020 on Saturday, November 7, 2020. Gates open at 4 a.m., blast-off at 6:30 a.m. and weigh-in at 1 p.m. The Angler of the Year will be recognized.
