MLEC Holds 81st Annual Meeting

COVID-19 Creates A Different Meeting Setting for Cooperative

Dr. Jeff Peery of Lewis County, left, was recognized by MLEC President and CEO Keith Carnahan for his 25 years of service to the MLEC Board of Directors.

Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative conducted its 81st Annual Meeting on Tuesday, October 27 at the Centerville River Park in Hickman County. In light of COVID-19 precautions, the cooperative held a single business session outside instead of its normal district meetings in each county.

"We miss gathering at local high schools, recognizing poster and scholarship winners, and spending time one-on-one with you," said MLEC Board Chairman Jessie Wallace when calling the meeting to order. "We believe holding the meeting in this way is the right thing to do for everyone's health and safety."
