Crowell donates book to Public Library

Geraldine Doyle Crowell, left, donated a copy of her book "The Alois Spiess Farm and Hohenwald through the 1940s" to the Lewis County Public Library and Archives.

The book was accepted by Director Crystal Nash and will be added to the library and archive's local history collection. The book features genealogical information about the Spiess family, details about the daily lives of Hohenwald's German and Swiss settlers, Crowell's childhood memories, family recipes, and a large assortment of photographs depicting both her family and old Hohenwald.
