Jack McVickers retires from E911 Dispatch

On December 31, Jack McVickers said his goodbyes to an office filled with his coworkers, Hohenwald Police Department officers and Lewis County Sheriff's Department Deputies, all bidding him farewell with a lunch spread fit for a king.
McVickers served 30 years as a police officer in Gulf Shores. He then moved to Lewis County with his wife and served as a dispatcher for seven years.
"It didn't take long for us to love it here," said McVickers when asked about moving to Lewis County.
