Mobile home destroyed in Monday blaze

A single-wide mobile home caught fire on Monday, January 11, leaving the home heavily damaged.
The fire, dispatched at 1:13 p.m., appeared to have started near the heating/cooling unit. The home is located on Deerwood Road and is owned by Will McDonald.
The Lewis County Fire Department responded to the fire and put it out as quickly as possible.
Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies and Maury Regional Emergency Medical Services also responded to the call.
The Red Cross was contacted to provide assistance for the displaced renters. No one was injured.
