School board members represent a tremendous resource as local decision makers diligently working to meet the challenges of a dynamic world while ensuring that every child receives the services needed for a quality education. School board members support and appreciate the efforts of students, educators, and administrators which have led to Tennessee having the highest graduation rate on record. The men and women of our local school board are elected by the people to make decisions most appropriate for the community and deserve recognition and thanks for their countless hours of service to public education."

Members of Lewis County School Board are: Chairman Glenda Atkinson, Vice-Chairman Johnny Clayton, Cassie Couch, Lindsey Himes, Derek Cotham, Phyllis Townsend, Jackie Holt, Paula Dyer, and Blake Farr.
