Well, it is a cold winter morning, light snow falling, beautiful. We’ve seen more snow than we have in a long time. Makes it seem even more peaceful with a good warm fire, a hot cup of coffee, the cats happily playing in the snow and chasing snowflakes. So peaceful and quiet here in our little valley.

A few days ago, I heard our neighbor on his old John Deere tractor. He was mending his fences. There must have been some weak places, he was making it strong to protect his cattle from harm.

Then, this morning I hear the news they are building fences around our Capitol buildings for protection. What has happened to our world?

Are we still a free country? Who can we trust? Where have we come from? Where are we going? All of this reminds me of my kids when they were young, fighting and arguing over who gets the toys and which one. But our leaders are not kids and our country and people are not toys.Or! Are they??? What can we do? Pray!

Back to the peaceful snowy morning, hot coffee, cats playing and warm fire. Peaceful here in our valley. God has it all under control, and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.
