Tennessee Gov. Bill Lee, Department of Economic and Community Development Commissioner Bob Rolfe and Documotion Research, Inc. officials announced Tuesday, January 26, 2021 that the company will establish new manufacturing operations in Maury County.

This will be the company’s first operation outside of California, where it is headquartered. The project represents an investment of $9.3 million and creation of 80 jobs.

Documotion will renovate an existing building at 971 Greenlick Court in Columbia. Once complete, the facility will be Documotion’s new manufacturing operations for point-of-sale labels.

Headquartered in Santa Ana, California, Documotion manufactures labels for various business sectors including food service, healthcare, retail, libraries, inventory management and others.

In the last five years, TNECD has supported nearly 20 economic development projects in Maury County, accounting for approximately 4,000 job commitments and more than $3 billion in capital investment.

“We congratulate Documotion Research on their decision to locate this new facility in Maury County. Our district is becoming increasingly more attractive as a place for businesses to locate due to our skilled talent pool, strategic location and business-friendly atmosphere. Helping to foster job creation is a key part of our efforts, and we are proud to partner with Governor Lee, TNECD and our local officials to help further that mission,” Sen. Joey Hensley (R–Hohenwald) stated.
