Carleen Emelia Staggs was born on February 19, 1928 in Hohenwald and passed away peacefully at her home in Hohenwald on February 7, 2021.

She was a descendent of the early German and Swiss settlers Karl Wolf and Bertha Porter Wolf. She retired from Uniroyal Chemcial Company in Elwood, Illinois before moving back to Hohenwald.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard F. Staggs. Survivors include a sister, Ruby Woods (Jerry), two nephews, numerous cousins and many friends.
