The Lewis County High School Panthers played in the first round of the District 11AA Basketball Tournament on Tuesday, February 23rd when they travelled to Stewart County to take on the Stewart County Rebels.

The Panthers lost both regular season matchups with the Rebels, including a 2-point loss in Dover in December. The first quarter was a close, low scoring period as the teams matched baskets and the game was tied at 11 after eight minutes of play.
