Maury Regional Women's Center receives re-accreditation

Maury Regional Medical Center (MRMC) has been granted a three-year full accreditation by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), a quality program administered by the American College of Surgeons. This is the third consecutive three-year NAPBC accreditation for the Maury Regional Women’s Center.

Accreditation by the NAPBC is granted only to those programs that are committed to providing the best possible care to patients with breast cancer. To achieve voluntary NAPBC accreditation, a breast center must demonstrate compliance with NAPBC standards that address a center’s leadership, clinical services, research, community outreach, professional education and quality improvement for patients. Breast centers seeking NAPBC accreditation undergo a rigorous site visit every three years.

“The multidisciplinary team of physicians, staff and volunteers at the Maury Regional Women’s Center provide outstanding care throughout the treatment process for patients diagnosed with breast disease,” said Maury Regional Health CEO Alan Watson. “This accreditation is reflective of their commitment to instituting best-practice treatment methods and delivering important support services to help patients at every stage of their journey.”

As a NAPBC-accredited center, the Maury Regional Women’s Center has demonstrated a firm commitment to offering its patients every significant advantage in their battle against breast disease. Receiving care at this NAPBC-accredited center ensures that a patient will have access to:

- Comprehensive care, including a full range of state-of-the-art services

- A multidisciplinary team approach to coordinate the best treatment options

- Information about ongoing clinical trials and new treatment options

- Patient-centered services, including psychosocial support, rehabilitation services and survivorship care

MRMC provides an array of services to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of women’s health conditions.
