On March 19th and 20th, Tennesseans planted 56,834 native tree species in all 95 counties including right here in Lewis County as part of the 2021 Tennessee Tree Day!

Tree Day is an annual event organized by the Tennessee Environmental Council and the Tennessee Department of Forestry with the goal of engaging Tennesseans of all ages and walks of life in environmental conservation - specifically planting native species of trees and shrubs.
