Slade Moseley was the starting pitcher for the Panthers on Friday and worked around a leadoff error, that put a runner on base, to pitch a scoreless first. A two-out single from Slade Moseley represented the lone baserunner for the Panthers in the home first and the score after one complete was 0-0. Moseley was perfect in the top of the second, needing only 9 pitches to retire the Rockets. A one-out single from Lincoln Brewer and Dyer Barnes being hit by a pitch put runners on in the second for the Panthers, but they were again kept off the scoreboard. Moseley was dominant again in the third, needing only 6 pitches to get through the inning and had faced the minimum through three. The Panthers, too, went down in order in the home third and the game remained scoreless. Moseley ran into trouble in the fourth, as the Rockets got a pair of one-out singles and benefitted from a walk, a hit batter, and three defensive miscues to plate three in the inning. Back-to-back two-out singles from Kael Feichtinger and Brewer would again put runners on the basepaths but the Panthers would again be unable to push a run across and would trail 3-0 after four. A two-out walk and stolen base, followed by a single, would bring another run in for the Rockets in the fifth and extend their lead to 4-0 and in the bottom of the fifth the Panthers would go down in order. Hayden Jackson would come on in relief in the sixth, and work around a leadoff error and a one-out walk to pitch a scoreless inning. The Panthers would put together a rally in the home sixth with hits from Brody Whitlow and Slade Moseley to start the inning and a well-executed sacrifice by Maddox Cagle, followed by a one-out single by Feichtinger and a two-out single by Barnes to plate a total of three and tighten the score at 4-3 Forrest moving into the final inning of play. Lincoln Brewer relieved Jackson in the seventh and struck out the side in order, but the Panthers were unable to find the equalizer in the bottom of the seventh and fell 4-3.

For the Panthers Slade Moseley had 2 hits and a run, Kael Feichtinger 2 hits and a run, Lincoln Brewer 2 hits, Brody Whitlow 1 hit and a run, and Dyer Barnes 1 hit. Slade Moseley went 5 innings in the loss, gave up 4 runs (1 earned) on 3 hits, struck out 2 and walked 2. Hayden Jackson pitched 1 inning in relief and walked 1, and Lincoln Brewer pitched on inning of relief and struck out 3.
