In the early morning hours of June 6, 2021, David Franklin Baggett went to be with his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family in his Summertown home.

Mr. Baggett, 69, was born to the late Joe W. and Euralee Ammons Baggett in Old Hickory on September 30, 1951. He worked at Dura Automotive Systems for 39 years before retiring.

David had a close personal relationship with God and many would say he was working on his bachelor's degree in preaching. He was a man of faith that was not bound by the traditions of man. God was good all the time! He was happiest outdoors riding his tractor or tending to one of his many gardens.

Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his two sisters, Patsy Ruth and Judith Anne.

Mr. Baggett leaves behind to cherish his memory his wife of 44 years, Martha Price Baggett; his children, David F. (Kumma) Baggett Jr., Timothy J. (Laura) Baggett Sr., Rebecca S. (Lawrence) Kinzie, and Judith D. Baggett; grandchildren, Patricia Anne, Austin, Timmy, Ashli, Seth, Cain, Troy, and Jessie; and one brother Joe Baggett.

Visitation with family and friends was held Monday, June 7 and again Tuesday, June 8 in the chapel of Adair Funeral & Cremation Services. A graveside service followed at Baugus Cemetery in Summertown with brother Kyle Conner officiating.
