November 13, 1940 ~ June 13, 2021
On the afternoon of June 13, 2021, Dorothy Ann Anderson peacefully passed away at her Hohenwald home surrounded by family.
Mrs. Dorothy, 80, was born on November 13, 1940, in Hohenwald to the late Joel and Clara (Anderson) Hanback.
Mrs. Anderson spent ten years working at Siegels before beginning work at Walmart where she would retire from after 18 years. She was a member of Springer Church of Christ in Hohenwald.
In 1958 at the age of 18, she married the love of her life, Eddie Anderson. In 63 years of marriage, they raised one son and have added four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren to the family. One of her favorite things was spoiling her grandbabies. She loved holidays and gathering around all her loved ones to share big meals. Her time in the kitchen often produced the best chocolate pies that no one could deny. Time with her family was always the most important.
In their younger years she, Eddie and sometimes their son would set out for an adventure on their 1957 purple panhead Harley Davidson. She enjoyed spending time at the Tennessee River camping with her family or going two-stepping with Eddie and listening to old country music. Some days she would sit with friends and enjoy a game of Bunco.
Along with her husband of 63 years, Eddie Anderson, Dorothy is survived by her son, Terry (Donna) Anderson; grandchildren, David Anderson, Anna (Chad) Middleton, April Rhinehart, and Andrea (Matt) Carroll; great-grandchildren, Haven, Brinley, Asher, Ella, Katie, and Rett Middleton, and Haylee and Emma Carroll.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Jerry Hanback.
Visitation and funeral services with family and friends was held in the Chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation Services on Tuesday, June 15. Burial followed in Banks Cemetery with Elliott Hamm officiating.
