We have had a hot dry week in this area of Tennessee with temperatures rising into the nineties some days and the nights were better with temperatures in the sixties most nights. We have been dry which is hurting the gardens and pastures but this is common to the June and July seasons of the past. The weather people predict some rain and even thundershowers for today but it is still dry for now.

Our family, along with many others in this area, have been busy with All Star ball games and tournaments for the past week and weekend and continuing into this next week. It has been hot but the girls don’t seem to mind and have done a wonderful job. The team that Kaitlynn is on has already earned a spot in the state play-offs. I am very proud of them and Maria has not had her first game but will this week. We wish all of these teams, both boys and girls, good luck and remind them to stay hydrated while playing in the heat.

Hope all fathers had a great weekend and a very good Father’s Day. I hope you were able to spend time with your family doing those things you love to do.

The next week will bring the end of June and the beginning of July which will be the last half of this year. The fourth of July is a special day for our nation so let us celebrate it safely and yet with dignity due our great nation.

Praying for each of you and your family that the coming days and weeks might bring happiness and health to your life. Have a great week and weekend coming up.
