On June 12, 2021, Faithanne Gregory Bennett peacefully passed away at her Hohenwald home.

She was born in Chicago, IL on April 30, 1949 to the late Orville and Margaret Burke Gregory. Along with her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bennett.

Faithanne spent her life dedicated to being an advocate for animal rights. She volunteered for many years with the Humane Society in Illinois and would often rescue animals in need of special attention. She had a heart of gold that showed in her infectious smile. She loved her animals and children, and in quiet times would sit down for some knitting.

Mrs. Bennett was unable to have children of her own but is survived by those she considered her family. She leaves behind to cherish her memory great-grandchildren, Braydon Downs and Piper Pulley; grandchild, Taylor Darden; sister and close friends, Lisa and Mark Darden.

A private memorial service will be held later. In lieu of flowers Mrs. Bennett requested that donations be made in her memory to Shady Haven Animal Rescue at 424 Trace Creek Road, Hohenwald.
