Lewis County Public Library and Archives Summer Reading Program continues

Lewis County Public Library and Archives annual Summer Reading Program "Tails and Tales: Animal Adventures in Hohenwald" learned a "ton" about elephants with Joy and Laura from the Elephant Sanctuary on Friday, June 25, 2021.

After hearing the tale of how the elephants' tails and trunk became so long, audience members learned about the different functions of an elephant trunk. Then participants separated into two herds to see how an elephant herd functions. Each child took home an elephant activity kit and knowledge about the largest residents of Lewis County.

The next family event is the Sail On: the Beach Boys Tribute concert happening on the City Parking Lot on Friday, July 2. Family fun and activities start at 5:30 p.m., the concert starts at 7:30 p.m., with a fireworks display to follow. This is a free event and open to all ages!
