Seventy-three medical students received their doctoral hoods and took the Hippocratic Oath as new physicians at East Tennessee State University's Quillen College of Medicine commencement ceremony held on Thursday, May 06, 2021.

Charles Anderson Edwards was among them. He is the son of Kent and Jennifer Edwards, formerly of Hohenwald, and the grandson of Bill and Martha Edwards and Helen Bates and the late J.L. Hardison.

Dr. Edwards obtained his BS from Millsaps College in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a goalkeeper for the Millsaps Majors for the four years he attended.
