Landfill Attendant Joe McNabb was recently honored with a certificate celebrating his retirement from the Lewis County Transfer Station.

Mr. McNabb served as a Heavy Equipment Operator for several years, and was primarily responsible for keeping the landfill/pit clean, covered and up to code. He was also a very valuable mechanic for the county, and often saved the landfill/taxpayers thousands of dollars by repairing a broken down vehicle or fixing a piece of malfunctioning equipment himself, versus having to hire it out....
