MLEC offering two $1000 grants to teachers in each county

 


Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative is accepting Adopt-A-School Grant applications through August 31, 2021. The cooperative offers two, $1000 grants in each county it serves to support its commitment to the community involvement.

This annual grant is intended to supplement funding of specific, innovative, classroom-level programs being carried out primarily in schools with greater fund needs. Projects should enhance learning opportunities for students and be used this school-year.

To apply, K-12 teachers or principals should submit an official application to MLEC Member Services by the August 31, 2021 deadline. Applications are available at each school, any MLEC office, online at http://www.mlec.com, or can be requested by calling 931-729-7220.

“The education of area students and helping support area teachers is important to us,” says MLEC President and CEO Keith Carnahan. “These grants are one way we can invest in area schooals and the learning process for students to help them have brighter futures.”
