LCMS Golf opens season

The Lewis County Middle School golf team opened their 2021 season on Thursday, August 5th at Hohenwald Municipal Golf Course against Perry County and Lobelville.

The Lewis County boys squad is made up of Bo Banks, River Carroll, Aidan Staggs, Ryder Ward, and Nolan Whitehead. The girls team members are Linley Harris, Anna Kate Jones, and Kacelyn Williams. The Lewis County teams are coached by T.J. Hinson.

In the boys match it was the team from Lewis County that took the team win with a score of 112 as Perry County finished second with a 119 and Lobelville third with a 128. River Carroll tallied the low score for the Panthers, carding a 24. Nolan Whitehead fired a 26, Ryder Ward a 30, Bo Banks a 32, and Aidan Staggs a 34. Low medalist in the boys match was Perry County's Bronx Dunkle who finished with a 20.

In the girls match Perry County finished with the low team score of 53, Lobelville was second with a 59, and Lewis County finished third at 64. All three Lady Panthers, Linley Harris, Kacelyn Williams, and Anna Kate Jones, finished the day with a 32. Low medalist in the girls match was Perry County's Enzley Denton who shot a 25.
