The Spirit of the High Forest Lewis County Marching Band is looking forward to an exciting 2021 marching season. The band worked diligently on new music and drills at band camp two weeks in July before school started. Now that school is back in full session, the band continues to practice hard both during and after school in preparation for the Lewis County Football season starting on August 20th and competition season which will being in September.

The Lewis County Band Boosters have assembled and elected new officers for the 2021-22 school year. Newly elected officers are as follows: President- Kellie Spitzer, Vice President- Marti Price, Treasurer- Amanda Spann, and Secretaries - Mickie and Jessica Carroll. The Band Boosters will, again, be in charge of running the concession stand for all of the regular season Lewis County Football games, and they are in need of volunteers to work in the concession stand. Parents of band students are encouraged to volunteer and support the band as this endeavor is one of their biggest fundraisers throughout the marching band season. The Lewis County Band Boosters are also in need of a volunteer with a large truck to pull the band trailer to away games and competitions this band season. They will pay gas mileage to any reliable volunteer that wishes to help the band with this task. The band boosters are also on the look out for freestanding beverage coolers for the concession stands, both on the home side and visitor side of the football field.

Band Booster President, Kelllie Spitzer, is asking for all band parents and band supporters to get involved this band season and support these hard-working band students. Ms. Spitzer said, "The boys and girls in the Lewis County Marching Band work overtime to make sure there is music to enjoy at football games and special events. These students deserve the same support as any Lewis County sporting team. Please come out and see them play this season. Better yet, please consider volunteering to help support this wonderful and talented group of students."
